Andrew brings more than three decades of experience spanning accounting, technology, and financial operations. Throughout his career, he has focused on helping businesses use technology to simplify finance, improve decision-making, and drive measurable results. As CEO of Auciera, Andrew is guided by the belief that every business should have access to the same clarity, transparency, and operational efficiency traditionally reserved for large enterprises.

Andrew began his career at a start‑up accounting software company, where he quickly recognized a persistent gap in the industry: accountants were not leveraging technology to its full potential. This early insight shaped his professional trajectory. He saw firsthand how manual processes, fragmented systems, and outdated workflows limited the impact accountants could have on the businesses they served. Determined to change this, Andrew dedicated his career to helping organizations modernize their financial operations through automation, process redesign, and technology‑enabled insight.

His experience spans major global firms, including EY and PwC, where he specialized in finance transformation, tax performance advisory, and performance management. Across these roles, Andrew developed a reputation for bringing clarity to complex financial environments and for designing systems that deliver accuracy, transparency, and operational excellence.

At Auciera, Andrew channels this expertise into building a platform that redefines how financial information flows through a business. His leadership is grounded in a commitment to accuracy and trust, along with the belief that automation should empower rather than replace accounting professionals. Outside of Auciera, Andrew serves as a Professor of Accounting and Tax at Humber College, where he has helped shape the next generation of accounting professionals since 2018.

Thomas Schroecker

Founding Partner

Thomas Schroecker is a multi-time founder, creative technologist, and long-standing leader in the software and digital innovation space. For more than two decades, he has built companies, led technical teams, and delivered large-scale solutions for global organizations, all driven by a deep fascination with technology and a belief that great systems should make life simpler, not more complicated.

Thomas began his entrepreneurial journey shortly after graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2000. At a time when the internet was still emerging, and twenty people shared a single dial-up connection, he recognized the transformative potential of the digital world long before it became mainstream. After being told early in his career that “the internet wasn’t a suitable platform for commerce,” he left to start his own ventures. That decision set the tone for the rest of his career: follow the opportunity, trust the technology, and build what others don’t yet see.

Over the years, Thomas founded and led multiple successful startups under the Venuiti Group of Companies, delivering custom software solutions, digital transformation initiatives, and technical innovation for Fortune 100 and 500 clients, global agencies, and high-growth companies. He built teams of more than 50 employees, oversaw revenues in the tens of millions, and became known for bridging the gap between visionary ideas and practical, scalable implementation.

As a leader, Thomas is guided by a simple philosophy: do what you love, and support others in doing the same. He believes deeply in reliability, curiosity, and continuous learning, qualities he expects from himself and from every team he builds.

Among his most meaningful accomplishments is the founding of Trusted Clothes, a non-profit that grew to more than 300 volunteers and focused on sustainability and community impact. That experience continues to shape his approach to leadership and technology.

At Auciera, Thomas brings his lifelong passion for technology, his entrepreneurial resilience, and his ability to architect systems that scale. He is responsible for designing the platform’s technical foundation, ensuring that Auciera’s automation is reliable, intuitive, and capable of supporting the future of real-time financial intelligence.

Dan Carli

Founding Partner

Dan brings over 30 years of experience as a CPA, business operator, and financial strategist to his role at Auciera. His career spans public accounting, industry leadership, and entrepreneurial ownership, providing him with a uniquely grounded perspective on the real challenges faced by small and mid-sized businesses. Dan’s expertise ensures that Auciera’s automation and AI capabilities are not only technically sound, but also fully aligned with the practical realities of accounting, compliance, and day-to-day financial management.

As the principal owner of a CPA Professional Corporation, Dan has spent decades supporting owner-managed businesses with bookkeeping, financial accounting, tax planning, and business advisory services. He has seen firsthand how manual processes, inconsistent workflows, and delayed financial insight create unnecessary stress and limit a business’s ability to grow. This experience fuels his commitment to building technology that accountants can trust, with tools designed to simplify complexity, reduce errors, and deliver accurate results without compromising professional standards.

Before founding Auciera, Dan held executive roles in the food processing industry, where he led multimillion‑dollar acquisitions, oversaw financial operations, and guided companies through periods of transformation and growth. His work sharpened his skills in due diligence, financial strategy, operational optimization, and business development.

At Auciera, Dan oversees the compliance, accuracy, and accounting logic behind the platform’s automation engine. He ensures that every workflow, rule, and process reflects the standards and expectations of real accounting professionals. His leadership bridges the gap between traditional accounting practices and modern automation, making Auciera a solution that feels both innovative and deeply familiar to CPAs and bookkeepers.
